Led and designed a 0-to-1 customer portal that had 2x higher customer engagement then before and reduced onboarding time by 49%.

B2B customers churn due to slow, confusing and poorly coordinated onboarding experiences.​ GUIDEcx aimed to create a single source of truth for companies to track tasks and timelines.

Part 1 — Overwhelmed Customers = No Customers

Customers onboarding to complicated B2B SAAS need to be able to answer 3 questions:

  1. What do I need to be doing?

  2. What should I do next?

  3. Where are we?

Ours couldn't… "We have so many customers that don't take advantage of the portal because they fill it is too much."

BEFORE — Customers were stuck with a confusing and hard to follow 'map' of their onboarding process.

Part 2 — Burn it Down. Start from Scratch.

Simply 're-skinning' the current experience wasn't going to work. Broken and slow code along with the need of a complete design overhaul allowed our team a fresh start.

2.0.02

Extensive research, prototypes, testing, and strategic cuts, we walked away with a truly user centered onboarding portal that quickly answered the 3 main questions.
